How Soliden works
Soliden is a B2B food marketplace that connects professional buyers and verified suppliers. Everything is organised around quotes, orders and logistics – in one place.
For buyers
Soliden helps purchasing teams find reliable suppliers, compare offers and secure deliveries. Here is the typical buyer journey on the platform:
- 1. Create and verify your account. You register as a professional buyer and share your company details. Soliden checks the information before giving full access.
- 2. Browse products & suppliers. Use the marketplace to explore categories, product sheets and supplier profiles. You see key info such as origins, certifications and minimum order quantities.
- 3. Request quotes. For each product you can open a quote request with required quantities, delivery windows and any specific conditions (packaging, quality, logistics, payment terms, etc.).
- 4. Negotiate in one thread. Buyers and suppliers exchange messages, documents and updated prices in the quote space, so everything stays centralised.
- 5. Confirm the order. When you accept an offer, an order is created between you and the supplier. Soliden organises the information but is not the seller of the goods.
- 6. Logistics & tracking. The supplier either uses your usual transporter or one of their partners. When they add logistics details, you see tracking information in your order space.
- 7. Invoices & documents. Each supplier issues its own invoices. You can retrieve them, along with order documents, from your Orders and from the VAT & invoicing page.
For suppliers
Soliden gives producers, traders and wholesalers a structured way to answer demand, present their products and secure repeat business.
- 1. Create a supplier profile. You describe your company, key origins, certifications and service zones. Once validated, you can publish your products.
- 2. Publish product offers. For each reference you define price, minimum order quantity, availability and photos. You can pause or update products at any time.
- 3. Respond to quotes. When a buyer opens a quote request, you receive a notification and can send a price proposal, ask questions or share alternative options.
- 4. Confirm and prepare orders. Once your offer is accepted, you confirm the volumes, prepare the goods and coordinate logistics according to the agreed Incoterms and timings.
- 5. Indicate logistics & tracking. You add carrier details, tracking references and estimated delivery dates. Buyers see these updates directly on their order page.
- 6. Invoice and get paid. You issue invoices in your name to the buyer. Online payment and automated payouts can be activated according to the commercial model agreed with Soliden.
